The following message was made on the main contact form by someone claiming to be Veronica Couto using the email coutov@att.net:
This is a written request for complete removal of all my information on your site such as: Mugshots, arrest records etc.
Please note : that effective July 1 if my mugshots and information on my arrest records are not removed from This Website I will enforce my rights to Charge this website $1000 ( one thousand) per day that my information is still on this Site plus any attorneys fee that I might acquire.
As a courtesy to you I've uploaded the file with LAW information, explanation of right fees and when it will effective in the state of Florida

At first I thought it was spam and it appears to be a mass sent message. Nothing was uploaded and there is no option to upload any documents. The text seems generic and there is no link to any information.
But given my mental situation and failing to recollect anyone by this name, and I do not believe any mugshots or arrest records are on this website, anyone know who this is?
Seems to me posting government records is obviously protected by the First Amendment and the government cannot dictate what one publishes, or does not publish. Especially government records.
All I can gather from the message is that Veronica Couto, or Zelia Couto, has multiple arrest records and mugshots.
It also seems like extortion. Unless one gives up their First Amendment right to publish government records they are subject to crushing monetary claims.
Sigh. Personally, I think there will be more of this in the future as both political parties abandon protecting Free Speech for their more important goals of power and eliminating any information they do not like.
And, ultimately, that is why I think this message (spam or not) from Ms. Couto is important - the government deciding what speech it likes and does not like, especially when it comes to government related information, and seeking to destroy anyone publishing information whoever is in power does not like.
Ironically, I am not aware of the government permanently deleting arrest data from its records. This is public information available to anyone. So not only is the government seeking to punish a publication it does not like, it reserves for itself the right to publish the same information. This is tyranny - oppressive power where the government controls information and decides who, if anyone, is allowed to publish the same information.
Update: more abusive email from someone describing herself as Zelia Vogel at coutov@att.net. Weird. How ironic that the information about Zelia Couto or Zelia Vogel or whatever her name is, on this website, is because of the emails. It's not an arrest record or mugshot and still haven't seen any $1000 per day "charges" lol.
